RESUMEN
Estudiar Medicina en sus comienzos era un
sueño no fácil de alcanzar, hoy la realidad es
otra. Es alcanzable este sueño con el
condicionamiento de que se necesita entrega,
compromiso, responsabilidad y pocas quejas.

Studying Medicine in its beginnings was a
dream that was not easy to achieve, today the
reality is different. This dream is achievable
with the condition that delivery, commitment,
responsibility and few complaints are needed.
These positions are both for the training
process where a self-assessment exam must
be carried out, to evaluate personal
insufficiencies from the cognitive, attitudinal
and human point of view, and for the
subsequent postgraduate training process
where they must be constantly prepared with
the purpose of to provide quality health care.
It is time to sit down and think about whether
or not what they are experiencing is what they
want for their future six or seven years of
university studies, and for their lives as future
doctors; It is necessary to think about whether
they want to identify themselves within the
area of health care in a significant personal,
professional and human way.
On this long road you will find tolerant people
and teachers, others not much and others
without any tolerance. And do you know why?
Because you are studying to solve a human
health problem as a species and you must be
aware that if you fail to issue a diagnosis or
therapeutic guidance, that human being may
die or cause other health conditions.
Sometimes they will find themselves in
situations where quick, accurate and timely
decision-making is the key to resolving current
situations.
Regardless of the professional performance of
the managers of the training process, the
student must understand their responsibility
towards their learning process and their
personal performance and as a student. There
are students in this case of medicine who,
under circumstances that are unfavorable in
their learning process, orient themselves and
give their best, stop lamenting the arduous
path they have to travel, and with all
seriousness work in order to achieve learning
meaningful and strengthen service learning,
distinguishing itself by its commitment and
delivery.
It is time to reflect and stop looking with a rifle
gaze towards the road already traveled and the
one they have to travel. It is time to transform
that look into a look of commitment,
responsibility, altruism and rethink your
positions and behaviors. It is time to look at
yourself with a self-critical gaze and ask
yourself how much you are willing to sacrifice
and commit to take on the challenges and
become excellent doctors.

In this way, when they graduate, the people
who know them will want to go to their office
to receive the criteria of a professional who
provides security, confidence; from
professional attitudes backed by knowledge,
empathy and assertiveness towards their
patients and, over time, achieve their loyalty.
They must understand that today students
play an active role in the training process,
which is why they are responsible for the
acquisition of significant learning. Self-pity,
constant justifications, looking for blame will
not make you good either as a person or as
future professionals, it will only lead you to
positions of fear, with little commitment to
yourselves and to your professional training
and to society.
Every time you don't feel like moving on, or
you don't like the way of one teacher or the
other, ask yourself what you should do, look
for levels of help; reconsider how you have
developed the activities up to now, rethink
each of the actions to achieve learning. They
should consider how to be a better person and
professional in the future. For which they must
be able to identify their goals and purposes
clearly and precisely, taking into account the
needs of society in full development.
At this point in the analysis, it is recommended
to stop and think about the needs of the
health-disease process, under the “One
Health” approach, from which the need for
doctors to understand and prepare to perform
clinical examinations will be understood.
integral. For which they must constantly
prepare themselves, without stopping to think
trivialities but with delivery, responsibility,
commitment, and above all with humanistic
and fair positions.
